Hiroshi Kan
管弘志Absolute flatness, discomfort, betrayal, and stories that have no meaning.
Hiroshi Kan's works are represented as two-dimensional compositions, which are ultimately devoid of any sort of meaning. "My hands move before my brain does," he says, drawing dots and lines in a state of near-unconsciousness, and before he knows it, he has created a piece of drawing that even surprises the artist himself.
Making extensive use of various tools and drawing materials, Hiroshi creates an "unsettling" geometric space where two and three dimensional surfaces intersect, giving the impression of a digital rendition despite the fact that all of his works are hand-drawn.
