Dreaming of unprecedented trends and zeitgeist through the fashion of future women.

A catwalk of simple, geometric graphic representations - Taro Uryu's works portray women of the future styled in their most original attire.

Within the limitations of two-dimensional expression, his body of work defies the realism and three-dimensionality of fashion; his challenge is to create something "Stylish" that exists beyond the trends and the zeitgeist.

All of the women he draws have blue eyes, which symbolize the sky and the sea. By eliminating their facial expressions, Taro seeks to express the serenity and dignity of a Buddha statue which transcends human emotions as in joy or sorrow.

A catwalk of simple, geometric graphic representations - Taro Uryu's works portray women of the future styled in their most original attire.

Within the limitations of two-dimensional expression, his body of work defies the realism and three-dimensionality of fashion; his challenge is to create something "Stylish" that exists beyond the trends and the zeitgeist.

His main works are Shiseido Hanatsubaki Illustration Series and Window displays and season visuals for department stores such as LUMINE, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and Omotesando Hills.

He has also collaborated with Nike Kicks Lounge, White atelier BY CONVERSE, SONY Xperia Hong Kong, MARUBI, OKAMOTO and more. In addition, he created visuals for fashion magazines such as ELLE, Numero and POPEYE.
