About the artist
One day, she would be inspired by Georges Braque and paint birds. The next day, she would feel like painting flowers reflected on the water surface. This is how Yoshimi Ide paints - like an observational diary about her ever-changing interests.
Just like drawing in a picture diary, she has a pristine motivation stemming from childhood to honestly express the emotions that struck her that day, as well as the artistry of layering watercolors, carefully calculated to create beautiful bleeding effects. The combination of these two elements creates an expression in which the abstract spiritual world coexists with the gentle warmth of the real world.
